AI and Tech Accountability Reporting Fellowship

The Nigeria AI Collective is pleased to announce the AI and Tech Accountability Reporting Fellowship, a three-month program designed to empower journalists in Nigeria with the tools, expertise, and insights needed to navigate the complexities of artificial intelligence (AI). This fellowship, implemented by the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID), aims to enhance reporting on AI’s impact, challenges, and opportunities in Africa.

1. Fellowship Overview

• Duration: Three Months
• Objective:
  • Equip journalists with the skills and knowledge to report on AI ethics, digital policy, and societal implications.
  • Foster insightful and impactful reporting on AI in Nigeria.

2. Who Can Apply?

• Eligible Applicants:
  • Journalists, researchers, and media professionals in Nigeria, especially those with experience in tech reporting or a keen interest in AI, ethics, and digital policy.
  • Reporters interested in AI’s impact, challenges, and opportunities in Africa.
  • Journalists dedicated to exploring AI’s ethical, economic, and social implications.
  • Female journalists and journalists with disabilities (PWDs) are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Individuals committed to producing high-quality, impactful stories on AI in Nigeria.
