The Cardinal Onaiyekan Foundation for Peace (COFP) is excited to announce the Call for Applications for the 2025/2026 COFP Fellowship Program. If you are passionate about peacebuilding and sustainable development in Africa, this is your opportunity to join a dynamic community of changemakers dedicated to fostering dialogue, resolving conflicts, and promoting social cohesion.
1. Program Overview
- Organization: Cardinal Onaiyekan Foundation for Peace (COFP)
- Program Duration: One Year
- Location: Abuja, Nigeria
- Application Deadline: May 16, 2025
- Objective: Empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to engage in interfaith dialogue, conflict management, and peacebuilding across Africa.
2. Program Highlights
- African Context: Tailored to address specific peace and security challenges in Africa, developed and led by regional experts.
- Structured Learning Experience: Divided into three modules with quarterly week-long in-person training sessions in Abuja.
- Hands-On Peacebuilding: Fellows receive a seed grant to implement a community-based peace project before graduation.
- Professional Certification: Awarded university certificates in Interreligious Dialogue, Conflict Transformation, and Mediation upon completion.
- Lifelong Network: Graduates join the COFP Africa Network of Peacebuilders (CANEP), a growing community committed to advancing peace across Africa.
3. Program Costs & Application Process
- Cost: The COFP Fellowship Program is completely free. However, selected Fellows are responsible for their transportation to Abuja for the three in-person training sessions.

- Visit COFP Foundation Application and complete the application form.
- Submit all required documents on or before May 16, 2025.
- Only complete applications submitted within the deadline will be reviewed.
