Applications are now open for the 2025 INMA Elevate Scholarship Programme, specifically designed to elevate the careers of talented individuals in the news media industry across Africa. This program provides a unique opportunity to gain insights into the business of journalism, with a focus on audience development, product & tech, advertising, marketing, and data.

1. Program Overview

Application Deadline: April 16, 2025
Objective:
- Provide on-the-job training and education to talented individuals in the news media industry, fostering career growth and development.
Class Size:
- Capped at 75 participants.

2. Requirements

Employment and Experience:
- Employed by a news media organization in Africa.
- Under the age of 35.
- Less than 5 years of experience in the news industry.
- Demonstrated need for on-the-job training and education.

3. Benefits

Virtual Modules:
- Four Africa- and mentorship-focused virtual modules covering:
  - Understanding the business of media.
  - Navigating the corridors of power in media.
  - Digital transformation in media.
  - AI deployment at media companies.
Access and Recognition:
- Access to livestream virtual modules and recordings.
- Access to a private WhatsApp group for peer communication.
- Recognition of selection to the program.
- Certification upon completion of all four modules.
Membership:
- One year of INMA individual membership.
