Applications are now open for the 2026 WFSA Paediatric Anaesthesia Training in Africa (PATA) Scholarships. The 19th World Congress of Anaesthesiologists (WCA) will be held in Marrakech, Morocco, from April 15-19, 2026. This global event represents over 130 countries and offers a diverse scientific program with 20 focused tracks tailored to sub-specialties in anaesthesiology and critical care.

Objective:
- Provide anaesthesiologists from low- and middle-income countries the opportunity to attend and engage in the global anaesthesiology congress.

2. Eligibility Requirements

Professional Background:
- Anaesthesiologists who have completed their training within the last five years.
Membership:
- Members of their National Society of Anaesthesiologists.
Country of Origin:
- From a low- or middle-income country.
Language Proficiency:
- Basic understanding of English to ensure full engagement during the congress.
Scholarship History:
- First-time scholarship recipients (not having previously received a WFSA scholarship).
Preference:
- Early-career anaesthesiologists.
- Applicants working in teaching hospitals.
- Applicants who have submitted an abstract for WCA2026.
